With characteristic small grist size and relatively dense structure these versatile and robust breadcrumbs can be used on all types of breading machinery and provide excellent coverage whatever the shape of the core product. Traditional crumb is available in a variety of colors to suit specific customer applications.
Tempura Batter
Our tempura batter mixes are easy to apply to any core and provide a crisp texture whether tailored for the oven or fryer. By combining breadcrumbs with certain batter mixes we can create textured coatings known as breaders. Both systems are excellent flavor carriers and add enormous variety to markets dominated by crumb coatings.
Japanese Crumb
A crunchy, light alternative to batter that’s ideal for coating all fish products, as well as chicken, cheese and vegetables. Japanese crumbs are immediately distinguished from other types of coating by their characteristic needle shape and light open structure. They are manufactured in special electrode ovens and can be toasted to suit specific requirements. At Kerry we have progressed Japanese crumb technology to enable us to produce light-eating Japanese crumbs that are nevertheless robust enough to be used on standard novel enrobing equipment
